La Chouette qui Chante
Close to Saulieu, and only 20 minutes drive from exit 23 on the A6, this charming chambres d'hôte is close to the village of La Motte-Ternant. This little hamlet, just inside the Morvan Forest boundary, is ideally situated for walking, touring and relaxing.
Stephen and Tracey Demaine live in Les Bordes on the edge of the pretty village of La Motte-Ternant on the River Serein. Their home, an old merchant's house dating back to 1872 has elegant rooms with corniced ceilings and tall windows, with lovely views across the undulating countryside. It has been decorated it to enhance the natural light, with shades of white, natural floor coverings from stone and tiles to wood and jute.
In this uncluttered atmosphere, they welcome guests to their chambres d'hôte - five guest rooms in all. Guests have use of the living areas and the two-acre garden which has mature trees for shade and relaxation.
Stephen and Tracey will show you the walks around the area, advise on vineyard trips and local events. They are excellent hosts and you will find La Chouette qui Chante a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the verdant countryside.
