Rue Maizières - Beaune centre ![]() Beaune, the wine ‘capital’ of Burgundy is steeped in atmosphere and tradition. To get a real taste of the town, stay in this stylish apartment on three levels, right in the centre. You will enjoy the epiceries, pâtisseries and fromageries, the wine cellars, the Saturday market and of course the restaurants, all on the doorstep. Rue Maizières is a quiet, tiny street around the corner from the church of Notre Dame and the Hôtel d’Dieu. Climbing up the spiral stone staircase to this apartment, once part of the Abbaye de Maizières, you get a sense of history. But open the door and you are in a light, contemporary space where the old stone walls and beams have been cleverly fused with up-to-the minute decoration and quality finishes. ![]() The living area with dining section and fully fitted kitchen, plus cloakroom are on the first level. Upstairs there are two double bedded rooms with views over the rooftops of Beaune. The bathroom with corner bath and washing machine/drier is also on this level. Up another flight of stairs is the attic room which has TV/video, designed as a den but with double bed settee for additional guests. Due to the stairs, we do not recommend this accommodation for toddlers or the elderly. Price per week From 1040€ low season, to 1370 € high season. Click here to contact Penny Martin about a booking.
